System Engineer - UAV

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a System Engineer at BlueBird Aero Systems in the Emek Hefer region. The System Engineer will be responsible for the design and characterization of complex airborne systems and components, system analysis, development and implementation of field experiments, troubleshooting and complete system documentation. Works closely with the R&D teams and flight operation teams, reports to the Chief System Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Hardware / Aeronautical)
• At least 3-5 years' experience as a System Engineer in the development of complex, multidisciplinary systems
• Technical knowledge of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) is a significant advantage
• Experience in writing system characterization documents, product definition, experiment reports etc.
• Troubleshooting and technical support skills
• High level of English
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Additional advantages: knowledge of flight controllers / flight logic and familiarity with civil aviation standards
