Platform Director

We're looking for a sharp-minded Platform & Infrastructure Director to join our leadership team at Pango.

Reporting to: CTO

You will lead and grow a team of DevOps engineers, DBA and platform engineers, driving strategic initiatives that support scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure. You’ll oversee the design and management of cloud environments primarily AWS ensuring performance, cost optimization, and operational excellence through automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

You’ll work cross functionally with product engineering leadership to align platform capabilities with business goals, while also owning infrastructure security, observability and governance. This is a high-impact leadership position with broad responsibility for shaping the technical foundation and supports the company's growth and innovation.

Requirements:

• Proven background in software engineering\ building platform engineers teams for the ground up.
• Hands-on experience managing and scaling cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in AWS services - a must.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, SQL Server), including performance optimization, scalability, and backup strategies.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
• A passion for enabling developers with efficient systems and tools that drive innovation and operational reliability.
