Why does this role exist

Our product keeps getting smarter by folding new algorithmic tricks - pose control, style transfer, smart up‑scaling - straight into the workflow. We need a hands‑on algorithm engineer who can spot promising research, run rapid experiments, and turn the best ideas into production features that delight artists.

What you do

• Scout & prototype cutting‑edge generative‑AI and computer‑vision methods (e.g., ControlNet variants, LoRA adapters) to improve image editing, generation quality, and content control.
• Design repeatable micro‑research cycles: set clear hypotheses, build quick experiments, and measure results with quantitative and qualitative metrics.
• Automate evaluation tooling in Python so thousands of samples can be scored and compared at the click of a button.
• Harden prototypes for production: optimize inference graphs, containerize services, and hand off clean APIs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and game artists to translate creative pain points into concrete algorithmic success criteria.
• Document and share insights so each new study is faster and better than the last.

The skill set we’re after

Must-haves:

• 3+ years in applied ML / computer‑vision R&D
• Strong Python; comfortable digging into diffusion/transformer codebases
• Proven at designing experiments and choosing the right metrics
• Hands‑on with at least one controllable‑generation technique (ControlNet, IP‑Adapter, etc.)
• Able to profile GPUs, tweak batch sizes, and read CUDA kernels when needed
• Clear written & spoken English; comfortable explaining technical results to non‑ML teammates

Nice‑to‑haves

• Prior experience shipping GenAI features in a SaaS or creative tools product.
• Open‑source contributions or published research in generative imaging
• Familiarity with product‑side A/B testing or bandit frameworks
• Passion for mobile apps, games, or creative tools
