Algorithms Team Leader

A startup company operating in the GenAI & Fintech space, aiming to optimize operational processes and reduce costs for financial organizations by integrating advanced LLM and NLP capabilities. The company develops a cutting-edge LLM-based platform tailored for banks, investment firms, and insurance companies.

It is financially stable and well-funded, backed by notable supporters. Founded by a seasoned entrepreneur with a background and expertise in Geometric Deep Learning.

The company has a growing customer base, including multiple paying clients both in Israel and internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of developers and data scientists specializing in LLMs.
• Plan, develop, and maintain infrastructure for models, including training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Integrate models into live systems, working closely with backend, product, and data teams.
• Maintain high standards of data security and regulation.
• Manage work plans, task prioritization, and provide professional development for team members.
• Drive technological innovation, applied research, and advanced use of GenAI.
• Develop internal management tools and dashboards for monitoring, analysis, and control.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with LLMs, including usage of APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or fine-tuning.
• Previous managerial experience of development or ML teams – mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in Backend development, preferably in Python and Microservices.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect, Airflow).
• Ability to work in a changing technological environment, manage multiple tasks in parallel, and have a systemic view.
• Strong understanding of NLP and LLM principles: prompt engineering, embeddings, attention, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
