Senior Data Engineer – Cyber Security Startup | Tel Aviv

A fast-growing cyber security startup in Tel Aviv is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Python experience and a passion for working with massive data at scale.

This is a hands-on role, building high-throughput, real-time ETL pipelines and scalable backend systems at the heart of a cutting-edge security platform used by global customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Design & build robust data pipelines (ETL) for ingesting and processing large-scale security telemetry
• Develop and optimize backend systems using Python in a microservices/cloud environment
• Work with AWS, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL, Docker, and real-time infrastructure
• Own your code from design to production and monitoring
• Collaborate with product and security teams to design and implement data-driven features and infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of backend or data engineering experience
• Strong Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy)
• Proven experience with distributed systems, microservices, and high-scale data flows
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
• Experience in cloud environments (preferably AWS)
• Bonus: Kafka, OpenSearch, GraphQL, TypeScript
