Senior Buyer

OVERVIEW:

Bruker’s Semiconductor Division is the leader in automated atomic force microscopy (AAFM) and advanced X-ray metrology and defect inspection tools for the silicon and compound semiconductor industries. The division offers the most comprehensive portfolio tools, based on X-ray technologies including XRR (X-ray reflectometry), XRF (X-ray fluorescence), XRD (X-ray diffraction), XRDI (X-ray diffraction imaging), and others. The X-ray business unit is based in Migdal Ha’Emek, Israel with facilities in Durham UK, Karlsruhe, Germany, and support offices and sales representatives worldwide.

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Buyer to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in driving cost savings, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services. The Senior Buyer will work closely with engineering, subcontractors and supply chain teams, to ensure that all procurement activities align with the company’s overall goals and technical requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong strategic mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of procurement principles

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives
• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and potential suppliers
• Lead complex sourcing and negotiation processes, resulting in optimal contract terms and conditions.
• Negotiating Framework Agreement terms and conditions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure collaborative partnerships and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement supplier performance management systems to measure and enhance supplier performance
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive risk management strategies
• Lead procurement’s projects across the organization
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in procurement
• Mentor and develop junior procurement team members as needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to meet their procurement needs
• Establishing purchase orders and tracking until delivery
• Handling defective products (MRB)

Qualifications:

• Practical Engineer / Industrial and Management Engineer / Relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier management
• Proven track record of achieving cost savings and improving procurement efficiency
• Highly experienced in high level subcontractors’ management including all aspects or business relationships
• Highly experienced in negotiating Framework agreement terms and conditions
• Deep understanding of Outsourcing process
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in procurement software and systems (Excel + experience with SAP –an advantage)
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to lead procurement projects from initiation to completion
• Service awareness and high learning ability
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
• Personal skills: Team player, Assertive, out of the box thinking, Makes things happen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the specific industry (Semiconductors)
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
