Team8-CTO, Team8 Capital

Team8 Capital, the early-stage venture capital fund of the Team8 Group, is seeking a CTO focused on cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure.

We’re looking for a highly motivated professional passionate about startups and investing who brings a wealth of cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure expertise.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the tech aspects of our investments and due diligence process, assisting in building the thesis and being responsible for all its technical aspects. This includes conducting technical research, validating the thesis's technological aspects with our community of leading industry players, and summarizing the inputs into bottom lines and recommendations.
• Support the R&D team for Team8’s early-stage startup investments during the initial development of their product (and even before that), including helping define their MVP, architecture, and initial deliverables to the design partners and hiring their core team.
• Develop tech tools to enhance team productivity and support the investment process, such as idea testing tools and potential founder finders.
  
  

• Must have a proven technical background of at least 7 years, including at least 3 years in a startup or tech company.
• Proven experience as a former CTO/Research leader/Architect within a fast-growing startup in the Cybersecurity and Enterprise/Data/AI domain, with a track record of successfully bringing innovative solutions to market.
• Experience in leading technical ideation processes, including customer-facing interactions, market research, and competitive analysis.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing software prototypes, with hands-on experience in programming.
• Proven knowledge and experience in the cybersecurity industry- categories, technologies and emerging fields.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM: familiarity with existing models, running POCs, and testing new capabilities. Finding the right LLM solution for given business problems and testing new capabilities.
• Leading technical projects (research or POC/tools development).
• Excellent communication skills (and fluent English speaker), with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven knowledge of product strategy, positioning, and analysis of different product categories and markets (Gartner, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
