Sterile Cultivation Lab Technician

GreenOnyx, an innovative Ag-tech/Food-tech startup pioneering sterile indoor cultivation of the Wolffia super-vegetable, is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our cutting-edge research and production efforts.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment at the intersection of biotechnology, food innovation, and sustainable agriculture. You will be an integral part of our R&D team, contributing to the development and optimization of novel cultivation and process technologies.

Location: Tel Aviv.

·      Execute routine lab tasks with precision and consistency, following strict SOPs and protocols.

·      Perform microbiological testing in sterile environments, including sampling, plating, and incubation.

·      Support experimental design, setup, execution, and documentation of R&D projects.

·      Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.

·      Prepare media, buffers, and reagents as needed.

·      Ensure cleanliness and organization of laboratory spaces according to sterility and safety standards.

·      Assist in cross-functional activities across R&D and production teams.

·      Document and report results clearly and accurately.

·      B.Sc. in Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Science, or related field.

·      Experience in classical microbiology techniques and sterile handling.

·      Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.

·      Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable mindset.

·      Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – team player.

·      High level of accountability, ownership, and problem-solving.

·      Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word).

·      Fluent English – verbal and written (mother-tongue or equivalent level).

·      Experience working in sterile, cleanroom, or controlled lab environments.

·      Familiarity with QA/QC processes and documentation standards.

·      Previous exposure to food-tech or Ag-tech industries is a plus.
