R&D Team Leader – Software Engineering

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced R&D Team Leader –to lead a team of three skilled developers within our R&D group. In this hands-on leadership role, you will guide the team in designing and implementing sophisticated algorithmic solutions, while also contributing directly to development efforts. You will play a key part in shaping both the technology and the culture of the team as we scale.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 software engineers and growing, providing technical direction and professional development support.

Design, implement, and review solutions to complex optimization problems.

Drive the development and enhancement of algorithms and software systems.

Optimize code and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and long-term technical strategy.

Ensure high standards of code quality, documentation, and automation.

Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and lead resolution efforts.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.

Proficiency in systems-level programming using languages such as C/C++ or Rust.

Proven experience in writing high-performance, efficient, and reliable code.

Strong architectural thinking and ability to design scalable systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively.

A self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead by example.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in chip design or verification.

Background in solving large-scale optimization problems or developing algorithm-intensive applications.
