Back End Developer - Founding Engineering Role

One of our clients, a fast-growing startup in the cloud-based data infrastructure space, is looking to hire a Lead Backend Developer to join its founding engineering team. The company is building an AI-powered SaaS platform that transforms the way enterprises work with data warehouses. Backed by $25M in SEED funding, this is a unique opportunity to take part in building a product from scratch alongside experienced founders.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the backend development of a modern SaaS platform from the ground up.
• Build core features like authentication, RBAC, multi-tenancy, and auditing.
• Make architectural decisions and drive best practices in scalability, security, and observability.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and cross-functional teams.

Must-Haves:

• 8+ years of backend development experience with a strong track record in cloud-based SaaS products.
• Expertise in Python - Must. Node.js - Big advantage
• Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure and backend architecture (APIs, databases, distributed systems).
• Familiarity with enterprise features like SSO, RBAC, audit logging, and multi-tenancy.
• Proactive and independent, comfortable in fast-paced startup environments.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with frontend (React/TypeScript), Node.js, or data infrastructure tools like Snowflake and dbt.
