A leading defense company is looking for a freelance English-to-French technical translator for an ongoing project.

This is a long-term, part-time opportunity — primarily onsite in Yehud, with flexible scheduling (typically once a month or as needed).

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical documentation from English to French with precision and consistency.

• Ensure accurate use of terminology and formatting in line with engineering and defense standards.

• Collaborate with engineers and subject-matter experts onsite to verify technical context and clarity.

Requirements

• Native-level French and excellent command of English.

• Proven experience translating technical content (manuals, specs, engineering documents).

• Ability to understand AutoCAD files or similar technical diagrams – a strong advantage.

• Familiarity with CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ, or equivalent).

• Background in defense, aerospace, or industrial sectors – preferred.

• Willingness to work onsite in Yehud as needed.

• Hebrew – an advantage.
