In 1992 HealthNet TPO was established by ‘Doctors without Borders’ to bridge the gap between emergency aid and structural development. The organization is now the result of a merger between HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI has knowledge and experience in reinforcing healthcare systems and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of transmissible diseases. TPO is an expert in the field of psychosocial and mental health care for survivors of war and natural disasters. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is managed by a team of qualified Afghans and supported by a team of experts at the HQ of the organization in Holland.

HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. HealthNet TPO is currently implementing projects in almost 20 provinces of Afghanistan and the major program it implements are HER (Health Emergency Response) projects in three provinces, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial, Malaria Control program, Tuberculus....... through a community system strengthening approach.

HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel.

Job Description

Objective of the Position:

Delivering quality mental and neurological health services and establishing a scientific and educational system to enhance capacities in the field of treating mental and neurological patients.

Specialized Duties

• Harmonizing the hospital's academic plan with the academic plans of the departments.
• Reviewing the implementation process of departmental academic plans in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Monitoring the alignment of curriculum with PEMG regulations in the hospital.
• Monthly reporting on academic matters to the honourable head of specialization completion through the hospital administration.
• Compiling a list of seminars and Case Presentations, lecturers, and trainees from different departments and submitting them to the head of specialization completion.
• Supervising the preparation of exam question banks for the hospital.
• Organizing and overseeing specialization completion exams at the hospital level.
• Submitting upgrade exam results of various departments of the hospital to the head of specialization completion.
• Sending the list of recent training trainees from all hospital departments to the head of specialization completion in the middle of each year.
  
  

Management Duties

• Establishing an organized office management system.
• Conducting hospital scientific council meetings and participating in specialization completion meetings, councils, and committees of which they are a member.
• Introducing comprehensive programs and regulations to new trainees.
  
  

Coordination Duties

• Ensuring coordination of academic activities at the hospital.
• Informing the head of specialization completion in case of unexpected vacancies in training positions.
• Participating in various exams held by the head of specialization completion at the hospital level and other specialization completion exams conducted outside the hospital as deemed necessary by the head of specialization completion.
• Establishing friendly and productive relationships with the hospital administration, departments, and hospital management.
  
  

Job Requirements

• MD
• Must be a specialized trainer.
• Proficiency in English and computer skills.
• Familiarity with reporting methods and needs assessment.
• Minimum three years of training experience.
• Familiarity with modern teaching methods.
• Better comprehension and understanding abilities.
