An innovative company specializing in plant biotechnology and the development of biotherapeutics is seeking a Research Assistant.

The role involves applied research in a laboratory focusing on genetic engineering, utilizing

variety of advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques.

Work is conducted as part of a research team developing transgenic lines, and performing

phenotypic and molecular characterization of engineered cell cultures.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Agronomy, or a relevant field - Mandatory
Proven hands-on experience (minimum 2 years) in a molecular biology laboratory - Mandatory
Molecular Biology techniques
Genetic Engineering
DNA and RNA extraction from different tissues
PCR, qPCR, cDNA synthesis etc.
Sample preparation for sequencing
Plasmid construction for protein expression
Plant genetic transformation (Agrobacterium-mediated transformation)
Working with transgenic expression systems in plants and animals - advantage

Skills:

Basic bioinformatics skills for sequencing and expression data analysis - Advantage
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Research-oriented thinking and problem-solving skills
High precision and attention to detail in laboratory work
Good technical English skills
