C++ Software Engineer

A Seed-stage startup developing open-source software for the developer community, designed to help engineers resolve production issues efficiently. Their product monitors applications without requiring code changes, unlike many alternatives in the market.

The company specializes in distributed tracing through automation of OpenTelemetry, built using cutting-edge technologies like eBPF and Kubernetes Operators.

The startup recently completed a significant $13 million Seed round led by Salesforce, and is backed by strong U.S.-based VC funds and alumni of Y Combinator. They are experiencing rapid growth and already have paying U.S. customers, including HP and Walmart.

The company currently has 20 employees, most of them based in Israel. The R&D center is located in Tel Aviv a train station and the light rail.

Role Overview-

• Be part of the core technology team, developing the heart of the company’s product.
• Develop a high-performance Agent in C that runs in the Kernel and integrates with a wide range of third-party code libraries.
• About 70% of the role is hands-on development, with the rest focused on research — investigating third-party code and exploring integration points.
• Work with production-level systems and build robust, low-level, high-impact technology.
• Tech stack includes: C, Linux Kernel, eBPF, OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes Operators

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in C programming, with a solid understanding of Assembly and Linux.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Kernel development.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud computing platforms.
• Experience working with OpenTelemetry.
• Prior exposure to eBPF technology and its applications.
