Hardware Development Project Manager

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Hardware R&D Lead, this position involves driving and managing hardware development initiatives throughout the full product lifecycle. The role requires solid experience with structured hardware development processes, including planning, design validation, and progress tracking.

A key focus is the mechanical development of current and next-generation products, ensuring timely and effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical development efforts within integrated electro-mechanical systems
• Build and maintain project roadmaps, define scope, timelines, and critical milestones
• Monitor progress through key performance indicators and manage cross-functional dependencies
• Convert product and market needs into structured technical execution plans
• Facilitate recurring technical syncs to evaluate progress, risks, and challenges
• Define deliverables, team roles, integration points, and workflows across teams
• Foster effective collaboration and communication across internal departments
• Address conflicts, clear bottlenecks, and ensure forward momentum
• Manage relationships with external vendors and subcontractors during both development and manufacturing phases
• Support the transition from R&D to production, ensuring knowledge and documentation transfer
• Contribute to mechanical aspects of validation & verification (V&V), and regulatory activities such as CE/FDA submissions (including protocol writing, testing, and reporting)

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution – mandatory
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical development of complex, multidisciplinary systems
• Strong skills in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or equivalent)
• Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and familiarity with manufacturing methods (machining, injection molding, sheet metal, etc.)
• Excellent project coordination and time management skills; proactive and self-directed approach
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and prototype testing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluent in both Hebrew and English, verbal and written
