Founding Engineer

Wizzo is building the modern operating system for financial analysis. Our platform empowers financial professionals to work faster, smarter, and more creatively by redefining the way they manage their knowledge.

We're looking for a Founding Engineer to help design and build the technical foundation of Wizzo - from backend components and APIs to AI orchestration layers and powerful, trustable user experiences. This is a greenfield opportunity to help invent a new category of tools for modern finance.

What you'll do

• Build scalable backend pipelines that process and update financial knowledge in real-time.
• Tackle untapped real-world AI problems.
• Develop smart productivity applications for financial users on top of Wizzo’s knowledge management platform.
• Design the architecture of our domain-specific knowledge graph and developer-facing APIs.
• Collaborate directly with the founding team on product strategy, UX, and customer feedback.
• Shape engineering culture, standards, and technical direction from the ground up.

Who you are

• A proven track record building in modern backend technologies (Python, TypeScript/Node.js) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Product-minded, curious, and excited to build AI-first tools that people actually love and trust.
• Comfortable in fast-moving environments and owning projects end-to-end.
• Bonus: experience with financial data, agent frameworks (LangChain, AutoGPT).
• Experience leading and growing technical teams in early-stage startups is a plus.
