Position: HVAC Engineer to support sales
Location: New York City, NY (Targeting Office Buildings & Hotels)

Our next-gen packaged terminal and integrated ERV systems require no outdoor unit, making them perfect for retrofit and new-build multi-family, hospitality, and modular projects. As we expand our presence in NYC and the surrounding region, we’re looking for a seasoned HVAC engineer to bridge the gap between our product expertise and our field sales force.
In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and sales acumen to drive product adoption and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that align with our offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical sales, project management, and computer networking, along with proficiency in HVAC engineering and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Guidance
- Serve as the primary technical resource for our sales team, answering on-the-spot questions about system performance, installation requirements, controls, and integration.
Field Collaboration
- Accompany sales reps on site visits to existing buildings, perform condition assessments, verify sleeve or wall openings, and capture accurate measurements.
Plan Review & System Selection
- Analyze architectural and MEP drawings to specify the optimal Ephoca unit(s), ensuring compatibility with building envelope, HVAC distribution, and energy-efficiency targets.
Project Estimating
- Monitor competing PTAC, PTHP, and VRF manufacturers’ offerings; maintain and update a competitive matrix to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to relay field insights, influence roadmap decisions, and refine technical collateral.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years in HVAC system engineering. A strong background is highly desirable. .
- Previous involvement in field assessments and sales support is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings (AutoCAD/Revit).
- Strong grasp of load calculations, psychometrics, and AHRI/ASHRAE standards.
- Familiarity with HVAC incentive and rebate programs, particularly NYSERDA, PSE&G, and JCP&L.
Soft Skills:
- Highly organized, self-starter, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Travel: Regular travel across NYC metro for site visits (approx. 2–3 days/week).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,000.00 per year
