Job Description

We are seeking a driven and independent freelance mechanical engineer to support our mechanical development team. The role is ideal for a task-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of components for a pressure sensing implant.
• Support mechanical team members with modeling, documentation, and prototyping tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and product integration.
• Conduct independent research and self-directed learning to understand system requirements and constraints.
• Manage assigned tasks with a high level of autonomy and accountability.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in medical device development is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks).
• Comfortable working independently and quickly learning new technical concepts.
• Strong task management and problem-solving skills.
• Available to begin immediately and commit to 3–4 days per week through September 2025.
