Network Technician

A leading government organization is looking for a Network Technician to join its IT infrastructure team in the central region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logical configuration: Define switches based on pre-approved templates.
• Installation & assembly: Connect and mount pre-configured switches to communication racks and core infrastructure.
• Validation: Verify installation accuracy and proper communication between switches.
• Basic troubleshooting: Identify and resolve first-level issues and coordinate with engineering teams as needed.
• Network configuration management: Execute basic commands on switches to configure settings and retrieve network data.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of data communication:
• Basic knowledge of networking equivalent to CCNA level.
• Specific knowledge of OSPF routing protocol.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in networking and data communication.
• Experience with Cisco and Arista equipment – an advantage.
• Strong technical aptitude and fast learning ability.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams.
