A stealth-mode startup is building the next-generation infrastructure powering LLM-based systems. The product sits at the low-level layer — designing and implementing advanced RAG pipelines, memory systems, latency optimization, orchestration, and scalable serving architecture for real-world AI applications.

Hiring a first VP R&D to lead engineering and build the core infrastructure from the ground up.

• Build and lead a high-caliber, hands-on R&D team
• Own the architecture, planning, and implementation of core infra components (LLMOps, RAG systems, vector DBs, model serving, performance tuning, and more)
• Play a key role in strategic and product decision-making
• Stay hands-on — strong coding background is essential

• Proven experience building and scaling engineering teams in infrastructure or low-level systems
• Deep understanding of AI infra: serving, latency, observability, deployment at scale
• Entrepreneurial mindset, ownership, and execution-oriented approach
