About the Role:

We are looking for a talented and passionate individual to lead the Physical Imaging domain – a key area at the forefront of Rafael’s cutting-edge defense systems such as Iron Dome, David’s Sling, Light Shield, and others.

This role combines deep engineering, advanced algorithms, and artificial intelligence to develop high-fidelity, realistic physical simulations.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the development and integration of physical imaging and advanced simulation technologies into Rafael’s flagship projects.
• Managing and mentoring a team of skilled professionals, including recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
• Ensuring high-quality technical execution and building strong interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
• Playing a central role in shaping the department’s long-term technological and strategic roadmap.

What We’re Looking For:

• B.Sc. in Engineering or Science (M.Sc. in a relevant field – an advantage).
• At least 3 years of experience in physical simulation, modeling, or physics of electro-optical systems.
• At least 2 years of experience in leading technical teams.
• Experience in computer graphics – an advantage.
• Experience in software development – an advantage.
