Job Overview: 

NeuroKaire is seeking an experienced and passionate VP Data Science  & Engineering to join our leadership team and lead our data science, software, and imaging teams. The VP Data Science & Engineering will lead the team in the development and incorporation of data science approaches as well as new software and microscopy applications that are part of a precision medicine product, with direct impact on patient care. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Be part of an experienced and versatile management team driving forward life-changing technology
• Grow, develop, and lead the Data Science, Imaging and Software teams 
• Apply state-of-the-art engineering and data science practices across the organization  
• Lead and take an active part in architecture discussions 
• Guide and assist team members with technical issues, be a mentor and a coach 
• Serve as the technical focal point for high-level scoping and design of cross-team initiatives. 
• Define the Engineering and Data Science team growth plan, recruitment, and strategy 
• Build a technical roadmap with relevant stakeholders and collaborate with Product Management on building the product roadmap 
• Identify project risks and proactively drive mitigations, and negotiate conflicts and resource constraints 
• Review and approve code and models 
• Build and maintain a culture of excellence 
• Hands-on work with cloud structures, automation, and DevOps 
• Constantly monitor and accurately report on the engineering and data science progress to all stakeholders 
• Lead the implementation of commercial- and  clinical-grade software platform, including frontend, backend, data engineering, infrastructure, compliance, privacy, and QA  

Qualifications & Experience: 

• BSc, higher degree preferable, in engineering/computer science or a related field 
• 10+ years of experience as an engineering/algorithm leader, having managed multiple teams  
• Image processing/computer vision and data science experience (in healthcare – a plus) 
• Experience in designing and implementing both cloud and on-premises solutions 
• Experience in bringing products to market 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew and English 
• Extensive knowledge of software development principles and procedures 
• Excellent organizational and time management skills 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
