Software Engineer

We are hiring a Full Stack Developer to join our Alma Specto development team.

About Alma Specto At Ex Libris

Alma Specto is Ex Libris' innovative, AI-powered platform for managing and showcasing library digital collections. Built on Alma, it streamlines workflows from AI metadata creation to immersive discovery and preservation, enabling libraries to share their unique resources globally.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, And Accomplishments

• B.A. in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Programmer with 0-2 years of experience in software development.
• Solid understanding of both frontend and backend development principles.
• Experience developing web applications and APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework/library (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js).
• Familiarity with at least one backend technology/language (e.g., Java, Node.js, Python, .NET).
• High level of English – both written and spoken.
  
  

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)..
• Strong eye for user experience (UX) and attention to detail.
• Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
  
  

What will you be doing in this role?

• Designing, developing, and maintaining both frontend and backend components for the Alma Specto platform.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features that align with Alma Specto's vision for digital collection management.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools as we build and evolve Alma Specto.

• Our base is in Jerusalem, working in a hybrid model.
