Storage Specialist for a Defense Company

A leading defense company is seeking a highly skilled and committed Storage Specialist to join its IT infrastructure team. This critical position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade storage environments, ensuring data availability and performance across the organization. The role involves working with advanced storage technologies and virtual environments, supporting 24/7 operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and implement enterprise-level storage infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain SAN and NAS-based storage systems.
• Collaborate with virtualization teams on integration with VMware and Microsoft environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues in real-time.
• Participate in large-scale migrations and infrastructure projects.
• Provide on-call support for critical issues outside regular working hours (24x7 availability required).

Mandatory Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in infrastructure planning and design.
• Proven expertise in enterprise storage environments (SAN/NAS).
• In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems (2008, 2012, 2016) – Required.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms – Microsoft and VMware – Required.
• High availability and commitment to 24/7 support – Mandatory.

Advantages:

• Experience with large-scale cloud migration and deployment in Azure or AWS – Advantage.
• Deep familiarity with NetApp and EMC storage systems – Strong advantage.
• Knowledge of Active-Active storage solutions – Advantage.
• Scripting abilities (PowerShell, VBScript) – Advantage.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM 2012/2016 – Advantage.
• Microsoft certifications – Advantage.
