Hardware Engineer

Position Overview

NIART aims to transform rail safety and autonomy with a next-gen radar-based system that seamlessly integrates AI, advanced sensors, and real-time analytics, enabling unmatched long-range obstacle detection for semi-autonomous and fully autonomous rail transport.

We are looking for an experienced hardware engineer & board designer to take a key part in developing our next top-of-the-line mm-wave radar.

In this position you will be responsible for developing the radar hardware starting from conceptual architecture, through detailed design, manufacturing and ending with bring-up and transfer to production.

This role requires excellent understanding in radar design and technologies and hands-on industry experience in design and bring-up of RF and Digital High-speed boards and products.

Qualifications

• B.Sc in Electrical engineering or similar
• 5+ years industry experience in RF and high-speed digital hardware design with high proficiency in Altium.
• Experience in all aspects of hardware design including schematics capture, PCB layout constraint, documentation, bring-up and design validations.
• Experience in common interfaces, PCIe, 10GE, DDR4, SPI, I2C, USB, MIPI, UART.
• Experience with SI and PI for high-speed designs.
• Familiarity with DC/DC switching power supply including Linear regulators.
• Familiarity with design for compliance/regulatory testing.
