Director of Quality Assurance

A leading company is searching for a Director of Quality Assurance to lead quality processes in civil and military aviation projects. In this role, reporting directly to the VP of Quality, you will manage a team of Quality engineers conducting professional quality assurance procedures, especially in the field of composite materials and assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-plant quality processes (MRB, CAPA, failure analysis) and ensure product compliance with customer requirements.
• Collaborate daily with operations, engineering, and procurement.
• Develop quality plans, specifications, and procedures; address internal and external customer needs.
• Manage quality forums and meetings, maintain QMS documentation, and oversee supplier quality (including FAI and design compliance).
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure adherence to aerospace standards and customer expectations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering / Materials Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Quality Management – an advantage.
• Experience in managing teams.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or quality engineering.
• Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and FOD AS9146 standards – an advantage.
• Experience working with customers and multiple stakeholders in Israel and abroad – an advantage.
• High-level English (reading, writing, and speaking).
