Position Summary

An international engineering company specialising in turnkey industrial projects is seeking a Procurement / Subcontracting Manager to lead procurement and subcontracting activities on complex infrastructure assignments. The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is part of a multidisciplinary project team operating in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess suppliers and subcontractors with capabilities aligned to the technical scope of the project.
• Manage the full RFQ (Request for Quotation) cycle: issuing inquiries, centralising communication, and tracking responses.
• Evaluate technical and commercial proposals, ensuring comparability and consistency.
• Conduct negotiations for pricing, delivery terms, and contractual clauses in accordance with internal policies and ethical standards.
• Draft, formalise, and manage contracts and purchase orders using ERP systems.
• Monitor contract execution, address deviations, and support resolution of procurement-related issues.
• Maintain up-to-date records and reporting dashboards for procurement KPIs.
• Identify procurement risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Actively contribute to cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement of supply chain practices.

Candidate Profile

• Technical degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in procurement or subcontracting within industrial, EPC, or infrastructure projects is desirable.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; ERP experience preferred.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to documentation and evaluation.
• Team-oriented with the ability to manage workload across concurrent tasks and stakeholders.
• Results-driven with strong ownership and decision-making capacity.
