תיאור התפקיד:

1. פיתוח מערכות ניסוי מלוות תוכנה במעבדות ההוראה והמחקר מחלקה.
2. מתן שירות לחברי סגל ולמעבדות המחלקה בתחום המיחשוב, ציוד היקפי, ציוד מולטימדיה, מדפסות, מקרנים וכו'.
3. אחריות לתקינות מערך המחשוב המחלקתי: מעבדות, כיתות מחשבים, חדרי סמינרים וחדרי הסגל וכו'.
4. מתן הדרכה וסיוע לסטודנטים ולחברי סגל בלומדות ותוכנות יישומיות למחקר והוראה.
5. פיתוח ותחזוקת אתר האינטרנט במחלקה, סיוע בהקמה ותחזוקה של אתרי אינטרנט אישיים לחברי סגל.
6. טיפול ברכש והצעות מחיר, רכישת ציוד מחשוב וציוד היקפי במחלקה, מעקב ובקרה אחר ביצוע הרכישות, רישום אינוונטר, תקינות וכו'.
7. ייזום ופיתוח מערכות מחשוב חדשות וקיימות לייעול ומחשוב תהליכים במחלקה.
8. מעקב אחר התעדכנות והתקדמות מערכות מיחשוב.
9. ביצוע מטלות נוספות בהנחיית הממונה.
10. כפיפות: ראש המחלקה.

דרישות התפקיד:

1. תואר ראשון במדעי ההנדסה או במדעי הטבע, רצוי- במדעי המחשב או בהנדסת תוכנה או בהנדסת מערכות מידע או בהנדסת חשמל ומחשבים או בהנדסת מערכות תקשורת. רצוי- תואר שני.
2. ניסיון של 3 שנים בתחומים רלוונטיים.
3. ניסיון עבודה בתמיכה, תכנות ופיתוח מערכות מיחשוב.
4. ניסיון עבודה עם מערכות הפעלה: Windows, Linux, Mac.
5. ניסיון עבודה עם מערכות תוכנה, שרתים ותקשורת מחשבים.
6. שליטה בשפה האנגלית ברמה טובה.
7. רצוי – ניסיון עבודה עם שפות: Python, Wordpress, Html.

היקף: 50%

Computer Systems Engineer

Department of Physics

Faculty of Natural Sciences

Position Description:

A. Development of experimental systems, including software, for instructional and research laboratories within the department.

B. Provision of computing services to faculty members and departmental laboratories, including peripheral equipment, multimedia devices, printers, projectors, and more.

C. Responsibility for maintaining the operational integrity of the departmental computing infrastructure, including laboratories, computer classrooms, seminar rooms, and faculty offices.

D. Training and support for students and faculty in the use of educational platforms and application software for research and teaching purposes.

E. Development and maintenance of the departmental website, including assistance with the setup and maintenance of personal websites for faculty members.

F. Management of procurement processes, including obtaining price quotes and purchasing computer hardware and peripheral equipment for the department, as well as inventory registration, tracking acquisitions, and ensuring functional compliance.

G. Initiation and development of both new and existing computing systems aimed at streamlining and digitizing departmental processes.

H. Monitoring updates and technological advancements in computing systems.

I. Execution of additional tasks as directed by the department head.

J. Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Head of Department.

Position Requirements:

A. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences or Natural Sciences, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Communication Systems Engineering. A Master’s degree is an advantage.

B. Minimum of three years of relevant experience.

C. Proven experience in IT support, programming, and the development of computing systems.

D. Proficiency in operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS.

E. Experience working with software systems, servers, and computer networks.

F. Good command of the English language.

G. Preferred: Experience with programming languages and platforms such as Python, WordPress, and HTML.

Position Scope: 50% (Part-time)
