About the Role

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI models, with a strong focus on NLP and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Set up data pipelines and build datasets from scratch to support AI model training and optimization.
• Train, fine-tune, and optimize machine learning models for improved accuracy and functionality.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques using to enhance model retrieval and contextual understanding.
• Conduct end-to-end experiments and prototype testing to validate hypotheses and improve systems.
• Deploy scalable AI models in production environments and optimize for performance & efficiency.
• Manage AI infrastructure, including both on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
• Manage project infrastructure and oversee the full development lifecycle of AI models and projects.
• Document and present model development, results, and impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with AI advancements and continuously enhance the platform with the latest technologies.
• Work independently, leading the end-to-end AI development process in a startup environment.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience, with expertise in NLP and LLMs.
• 3+ years of experience training and fine-tuning NLP/ML models, including Transformer-based architectures such as GPT-4, LLaMA, Claude, Gemini, or Mistral AI.
• Experience developing AI Agents or Generative AI-powered workflows using LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or Guidance.
• Experience in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Strong Python programming skills, with deep expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Experience setting up AI/ML data pipelines and building datasets from scratch.
• Experience deploying AI models in production, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Hands-on experience managing AI infrastructure, including Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, and GPU-based optimization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug, optimize, and improve AI/ML models.
• Strong communication skills, capable of presenting AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience as the sole AI/ML developer or primary AI lead in a startup or fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and build AI systems from scratch.
