Senior Vice President of Engineering

With direct integration into over 500,000 monthly active mobile apps, Start.io leverages global first-party data to unlock valuable insights, predict behaviours, and drive growth.

We seek an experienced SVP of Engineering to lead our R&D & Data teams and drive technological innovation. The SVP of Engineering owns the creation of a roadmap for design, development and operationalization of a high-quality data strategy, including data architecture, processes, and data quality framework - driven by the current and strategic operational and analytical business information needs organization-wide, and is based on formal concepts, principles, and techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Engineering and Data teams and take full responsibility for product development.
• Develop and implement a technology strategy aligned with the company's vision.
• Lead and optimize development processes, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Be responsible for making decisions on architecture, infrastructure, and development tools.
• Collaborate closely with senior management and participate in strategic decisions.
• Work closely with product and operations teams to create organizational synergy.
• Manage technology budgets and resources while prioritizing projects.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate data science tools, platforms, and technologies to streamline processes and enhance data-driven marketing capabilities.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of senior development experience, with at least 5 years as an SVP Engineering from the Ad-Tech industry
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and SQL, along with experience in working with large-scale databases and data manipulation.
• Proven experience managing multiple development teams
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to drive product architecture
• Ability to lead and optimize development processes
• Expertise in introducing and evolving statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining, and predictive analytics.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
• Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in marketing analytics, data science methodologies, AI and data software solutions. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the marketing data science function and build out next-gen capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with product, operations, business leads, compliance, and finance.
