Job Overview:

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer (Python) to join our engineering team and focus on building scalable, reliable backend systems that support our cybersecurity products. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to the development of backend services, APIs, and databases in a cloud-based environment. You’ll work closely with frontend developers and product teams to ensure high performance, seamless integration, and data security across the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and integrations using Python (Django), Node.js, and AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and RDS.
• API Development: Develop and maintain scalable, secure RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Database Management: Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Collaboration: Partner with frontend developers, product managers, and infrastructure teams to ensure cohesive and functional platform architecture.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline automated testing and deployments.
• Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation for backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure processes.
• Testing: Implement unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure system stability and code quality.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve backend issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Containerization: Use Docker to create consistent development and deployment environments.
• Agile Development: Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives), manage tasks via ticketing systems, and contribute to backlog grooming.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5 years in backend software development with a strong focus on Python and Django.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python (Django), Node.js, and AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.).
• Database Expertise: Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, with skills in performance tuning and optimization.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab and experience using Git for version control.
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker in development and production workflows.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a focus on building scalable, maintainable backend solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with serverless architecture and distributed messaging systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices in backend and cloud-based development environments.
