Job Overview:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and components meet the required quality standards within the mechanical manufacturing environment. This role involves designing and implementing quality control systems, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and solve quality-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure products meet mechanical engineering standards and customer requirements.

Inspection & Testing: Conduct regular verefication audits, and tests on materials, components, and finished products to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications.

Root Cause Analysis: Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues by performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.

Process Improvement: Work closely with design, manufacturing, and production teams to recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality audits, and prepare detailed reports on quality metrics and issues.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications such as ISO 9001, ASTM, or ASME.

Training: Provide training and support to team members and other departments on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

Key Skills:

Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and quality standards.

Proficiency in using quality control tools (e.g., statistical process control, FMEA, root cause analysis).

Familiarity with ERP softwares, measurement instruments, and inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMMs).

Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001.

Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, or CQE with background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any other related field.

2-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role in a mechanical manufacturing environment.

Certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma,Lean, ASQ, Lead auditor) are a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hebrew!
