Software Architect

A global high-tech company operating in the maritime industry has developed a comprehensive Cloud-based ERP platform for managing the full operational lifecycle of shipping companies. The platform is built on Big Data and AI technologies and is designed to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety, while reducing operational costs for logistics and shipping companies.

The company is currently undergoing a technological renewal process, transitioning to a next-generation system.

The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv (near a train line) and operates in a flexible hybrid model, allowing up to four remote workdays per week. It employs approximately 500 people worldwide, including 250 in R&D and around 100 employees in Israel.

Role Description:

The Software Architect will be part of a core architecture team and will report directly to the VP of R&D. The role includes approximately 30–40% hands-on development and will play a key role in shaping the architecture of the company’s next-generation system.

Qualifications-

• 10 years software development experience (mainly backend or full stack development).
• 5 years leading system-level designs and architecture for entire web-based solutions or substantial sub-systems.
• 3 years of experience as a designer/architect of large scale and high-performance distributed systems.
• 7 years development and code-level design experience with Node.js, C# or Java.
• 2 years of experience with relational databases.
• Practical and substantial experience with microservices architecture and event-based systems.
• Practical and substantial experience with development quality methodologies and testing.
• Practical familiarity with OOP, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven and works well with minimal supervision as part of a diverse team.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
