Mechanical Engineer

Meprolight is a leading developer of advanced multidisciplinary products that integrate mechanics, optics, and electronics.

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Optomechanics Team and take part in the development of next-generation defense technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical design and development of new optomechanical products from concept through to mass production
2. Design of rugged military-grade systems operating under harsh environmental conditions (temperature extremes, shock, submersion, etc.)
3. Design of plastic injection-molded components using advanced materials
4. Mechanical design of electronic enclosures, with familiarity at the PCB/component level
5. Design of flexible cable harnesses
6. Cross-functional collaboration with industrial designers and optical engineers

Requirements:

1. B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and development
3. At least 3 years of experience in optomechanical design – including packaging of individual optical elements such as lenses
4. Proficient in manufacturing technologies: CNC machining, die casting, investment casting, and more
5. Advanced skills in SolidWorks
6. Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
