Data Engineer

An established Israeli cybersecurity company in the automotive sector is developing cutting-edge solutions to prevent remote cyberattacks and unauthorized control over all types of connected vehicles, including autonomous and electric cars.

The company offers in-vehicle cybersecurity technologies as well as systems for monitoring vehicles and identifying vulnerabilities across the vehicle, cloud, and command-and-control infrastructures.

Headquartered in Ramat Gan (near a train line), the company operates in a hybrid model with two remote workdays per week and employs 200 people.

Founded a decade ago by veterans of Unit 8200, the company was acquired by a major global corporation. It has signed contracts with over 20 automotive manufacturers worldwide, with deployments planned for approximately 65 million vehicles, valued at tens of millions of euros.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development projects of critical, high-availability, cloud-scale services and APIs
• Support clients with large amounts of data and scalability in mind
• Take part in all development stages – from design to deployment
• Develop and deploy real time/batch data processing pipelines using the latest technologies
• Design and build high-availability, cloud-scale data pipelines (ETLs)

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in large scale, distributed server side, backend development
• 3 years of experience developing using Scala
• Extensive experience in stream & batch big data pipeline processing using Apache Spark
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience in working with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP)
• Passion for designing scalable, distributable and robust platforms and analytic tools
