Vice President Marketing

Our client is a well-funded, stealth-mode B2B technology startup with significant venture capital backing and an already impressive customer base. Operating at the forefront of information technology innovation, the company is preparing for aggressive market entry and expansion.

They are now seeking a Vice President of Marketing — the first marketing executive hire — to architect and lead the entire marketing function from the ground up.

The Opportunity

The selected candidate will work closely with the founding team and play a critical role in shaping the company’s go-to-market strategy, brand identity, and demand generation engine. This role requires a balance of hands-on execution and strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the end-to-end marketing strategy, covering both brand and performance marketing
• Build scalable marketing operations including automation, CRM, attribution, and analytics
• Drive demand generation through multi-channel campaigns: email marketing, paid media, SEO, and content
• Own the customer journey and implement full-funnel marketing strategies that align with the company’s business goals
• Define the company's positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy in collaboration with leadership
• Hire and lead a high-performance marketing team as the company scales
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure alignment and revenue growth

Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of marketing experience, with a track record of success in B2B tech startups or high-growth environments
• Proven ability to build marketing teams, systems, and strategy from scratch
• Strong knowledge of demand generation, marketing automation, and customer lifecycle marketing
• Skilled in brand development, messaging, and storytelling — especially in technical or enterprise contexts
• Experience launching products and brands from stealth is a strong plus
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high growth potential
