Performance Modeling Architect

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Performance Modeling Architect to join our innovative ML architecture team. In this key role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and refining performance models simulating vector acceleration engines, a defined on-chip network-on-chip (NoC), an innovative off-chip scalable memory solution, and integrating system connections to the planned software ecosystem.
• Mapping AI applications onto the modeled system, identifying performance bottlenecks, and quantitatively assessing micro-architectural and architectural trade-offs.
• Correlating performance modeling results with RTL emulation and RTL simulation platforms to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Defining, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive performance validation plans addressing all aspects of potential product inefficiencies, including RTL design flaws, micro-architecture resource limitations, architectural faults, system-level inefficiencies, and software integration issues.

Additionally, as an integral member of our ML architecture team, you will contribute strategically to refining the feature set of our initial product and shaping the direction and capabilities of future products.

Hands-on Responsibilities Include:

• Creating detailed specifications to guide engineering team implementations.
• Developing code for early-stage performance estimations (Python, domain-specific tools, etc.).
• Reviewing and providing feedback on detailed test plans.
• Assisting in debugging test results and defining corrective actions and next steps.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in performance modeling and architecture for complex systems, ideally involving AI accelerators or vector processing architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Python or similar languages for performance modeling and data analysis.
• Experience correlating modeling results with RTL platforms (simulation/emulation).
• Ability to clearly communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs.
• Team-oriented mindset with the capability to actively contribute to both technical execution and strategic product development.
