Graduate Research Fellow

We at Turbomachinery & Heat Transfer Laboratory (Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Technion) are seeking highly motivated MSc and PhD candidates to join our research group and contribute to pioneering work in laser-spray interactions and droplet dynamics.

Our lab explores how light can influence and control the behavior of liquid sprays, with particular focus on photonic acceleration and coalescence of microdroplets. By integrating techniques such as optical and acoustic manipulation, we aim to uncover new mechanisms relevant to spray combustion, aerospace propulsion, and atmospheric phenomena.

Research Themes:

• Laser–droplet interactions and photonic manipulation.
• Acoustic levitation and droplet dynamics
• Experimental spray diagnostics (Phase Doppler, Laser Doppler).
• Applications in propulsion systems and climate-related technologies.

Ideal Background:

We welcome applicants with academic training in:
