A pioneering company in the field of SWIR (Short-Wave Infrared) image sensors, based on cutting-edge research in nanophononics. Their unique technology is revolutionizing the imaging sensor industry, especially in the automotive market, alongside other innovative applications.
The role involves managing and leading a team of three VLSI engineers specializing in the design and verification of advanced image sensors and image signal processing (ISP) systems.
The company employs around 90 people and is headquartered in central Tel Aviv near the train line. The work model includes one remote day per week, with the remainder in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a dynamic team of VLSI design and verification engineers focused on developing innovative image sensors and ISP solutions.
- Define and prioritize project objectives, timelines, and deliverables to align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Oversee the design and verification processes of ASIC and FPGA projects, including system integration for innovative image sensing solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including analog design, firmware, and software engineers, to ensure seamless product integration and optimal performance.
- Analyze and optimize VLSI signal processing algorithms and FPGA implementations to enhance image quality and sensor performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a Master degree is considered an advantage.
- Possesses a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the design and verification of ASIC/FPGA and mixed-signal systems, with a focus on image sensors or closely related technologies.
- Has 5 to 7 years of experience in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Demonstrates a strong background in ASIC/FPGA development, including expertise in HDL coding, verification methodologies such as UVM, backend processes, and system interfaces.
- Proficient in industry-standard VLSI design tools and simulation software, including Cadence, Synopsys, and FPGA platforms such as Xilinx and Intel.
- Exhibits excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills, enabling success in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.
- Advantageous qualifications include expertise in embedded systems and firmware development, as well as knowledge of backend flow, manufacturing processes, and design-for-test (DFT) methodologies.
