About the job

ASTERRA is seeking a talented GIS Analyst to join our Production team. In this role, you will work with advanced satellite-based geospatial data to produce unique analyses and contribute to various ongoing production projects. You’ll support the development and delivery of cutting-edge geospatial products that help solve real-world infrastructure challenges around the globe.

In this role, you’ll:

• Work with a wide variety of geospatial data types, including both raster and vector formats
• Support ongoing production workflows and collaborate on unique customer requests
• Assist with raw SAR data analysis, algorithm operations, georeferencing, and quality assurance
• Help maintain and improve internal processes related to data handling and analysis

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience in GIS, with hands-on use of ArcGIS 10.X and above
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
• High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Familiarity with additional GIS tools such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS – an advantage
• Technological aptitude and willingness to work with innovative remote sensing technologies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in dynamic, multitasking environments
