Director of Technology

TKP is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Technology to spearhead our technology strategy and drive operational efficiency across our expanding business. This pivotal role will be responsible for the management systems of our new factory and retail shops, as well as all online sales channels, including our retail website, wholesale platform, and various ordering applications. The Director of Technology will be instrumental in leveraging technology to bring our operational efficiency to new levels and enhance our customer experience.

Responsibilities

• System Strategy & Specification: Define and lead the development of our technology roadmap, including system specifications for factory management, retail operations, and online sales platforms.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (operations, sales, marketing, finance) to understand their needs and ensure seamless integration of technology solutions into existing processes.
• External Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external technology providers for system enhancements, product development, and ongoing support.
• E-commerce Leadership: Collaborate with designers and developers to implement and continuously improve our retail and wholesale websites and ordering apps, with a focus on maximizing sales and user experience.
• Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement technological solutions to streamline operations, improve productivity, and reduce costs across the organization.
• Team Leadership: As the technology team grows, provide leadership and guidance to internal IT resources.
• Staying Current: Keep abreast of the latest technological advancements and identify opportunities for TKP to leverage new tools and platforms.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced technology leader with a proven track record. Ideal candidates will possess a background in one or more of the following areas:

• Product Management: Experience defining and launching successful technology products, ideally in e-commerce or operations.
• Development Management: Experience leading and managing software development teams and overseeing the delivery of high-quality applications.
• Business Operations / Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, and ideally, manufacturing and retail operations systems.
• Experience working with external technology vendors.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into technology initiatives.
• A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
