Position Summary

We are looking for a Unity Team Lead to join our R&D department and take ownership of a cross-functional team developing core features for one of SciPlay’s top-performing games. In this role, you’ll manage a team of both client-side (Unity) and server-side engineers, providing hands-on technical leadership and mentoring to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality game features.

You will be at the heart of development, contributing code, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving both the technical and people aspects of team growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a hybrid team of Unity and backend developers, fostering collaboration and individual growth.
• Oversee the team's deliverables, ensuring high-quality and timely releases aligned with product goals.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, project managers, game designers, QA, and other tech leads to plan, develop, and deliver scalable game features.
• Guide estimations, task breakdowns, and sprint planning with accountability and transparency.
• Perform code reviews and uphold best practices in code quality, architecture, and performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve team processes, development workflows, and overall efficiency.
• Remain technically hands-on, contributing code and architectural guidance where needed.
  
  

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Unity (C#) in mobile game development.
• 2+ years of proven experience leading engineering teams, including both client and server developers.
• Strong understanding of mobile game development lifecycles, architecture, and optimization.
• Deep knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Proven ability to manage team dynamics while staying actively involved in coding and technical decisions.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  
  

• Experience with backend development (PHP or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices.
