💼 Full-Time Desktop Support Engineer (DSS Level 1)

Key Responsibilities:

🔧 Hardware Support & Troubleshooting

Provide deskside support for hardware issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals

Smart hands support for AV systems, VOIP phones, monitors, routers, switches, racks, etc.

Assist with conference room setups and physical IT equipment installation

Able to lift and handle IT equipment up to 50 lbs.

💻 Operating Systems & Software

Installation and support for Windows, macOS, and Linux environments

Troubleshoot is commonly used applications (Adobe, browsers, Microsoft 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, Skype)

Solid understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP

Diagnose OS and application-level issues including antivirus and endpoint protection tools

Support for Apple mobile devices and MDM platforms (AirWatch, XenMobile, MobileIron)

Hands-on experience with VDI systems, SCCM, LANDesk, and Altiris

🛠 ITSM Tools & Process

Follow ITIL-aligned practices: incident, request, problem, and change management

Utilize ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow and Remedy

Update and maintain knowledge base documentation

Conduct ticket reviews, trend analysis, SLA compliance monitoring, and reporting

👨‍🏫 Team Collaboration & Process Improvement

Train and mentor L1 resources to strengthen service delivery

Analyze repeat incidents and implement preventive actions

Support automation and continuous service improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Electronics or Information Technology

CompTIA A+ / CCNA Certified
