Infrastructure Engineer

Weka is looking for a motivated and experienced Infrastructure Engineer. You'll be part of the automation and infrastructure group that contains highly skilled Python programmers who develop and maintain our internal frameworks, libraries, services, and tools.

As An Infrastructure Engineer, You Will Be

• Develop and maintain in-house Python libraries and frameworks for the file system platform.
• Build and enhance Python-based internal tools to streamline development processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to align development with project needs and gather requirements from stakeholders.
• Be part of the growing Infrastructure group, which stands at a critical point in all R&D processes.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and design decisions to improve software quality.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to engineers using in-house Python tools.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations in Python tools, particularly those used in high-demand file system development.
  
  

• Strong programming skills with a focus on Python
• At least 4 years of experience in software development.
• Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex coding issues
• Proven experience working with Linux system environments.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  
  

• Familiarity with database management and optimization
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
