Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Solo DevOps Engineer to join our team at Lawyal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, particularly with AWS services, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:Design and manage AWS resources including EC2, EKS, RDS Aurora, S3, CloudFront, and DNS.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and scalability.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development:Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and Helm.
• Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Containerization and Orchestration:Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
• Ensure high availability and scalability of applications.
• Security and Compliance:Implement security best practices in line with HIPAA, SOC II, and ISO standards.
• Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance and protect company data.
• Leadership and Communication:Lead cloud infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on DevOps best practices.
  
  

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles.
• Proficient in AWS services: EC2, EKS, RDS Aurora, S3, CloudFront, and DNS.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8s), GitHub Actions, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Argo CD, and Helm.
• Proven track record of implementing cost-saving measures in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in designing cloud solutions.
• Experience working in a startup or Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is preferred.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience with cybersecurity, specifically in HIPAA, SOC II, and ISO compliance, is an advantage.
