We’re looking for a seasoned R&D leader (10+ years of experience) to lead and scale our growing engineering organization. You’ll lead a talented, multi-disciplinary team including hardware, embedded, cloud, mobile, datascience, QA and DevOps in building world-class products to take the company to the next step of growth and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Execution

• Lead, organize and scale the R&D organization to support growth and product delivery goals.
• Own the full product lifecycle — from early design to release and long-term support.
• Build a culture of speed, quality and accountability.

Technical & Operational Management

• Oversee architecture, engineering, and operations of our IoT devices and cloud platform.
• Ensure seamless integration across hardware, firmware, cloud and applications.
• Lead DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Drive rigorous quality practices across development, testing, and real-world validation.

Team Development

• Hire, mentor and grow world-class engineering talent across disciplines.
• Define KPIs, manage performance, and align team development with tech trends.
• Optimize R&D budgets, tools and vendor partnerships.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Customer Success, Operations and Sales to align delivery with business priorities.
• Provide technical guidance, risk assessments and forecasts to executive leadership.
• Lead fast, effective resolution of field and production issues.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Experience in in a multi-disciplinary product offering that combines hardware including IoT devices.
• Deep knowledge in cloud platforms (AWS) and IoT architectures.
• Proven track record of managing both software/hardware development, QA and DevOps teams.
• Outstanding leadership, team building and communication skills.
• Experience managing distributed or remote engineering and QA teams.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on familiarity with embedded systems and wireless communication protocols.
• Knowledge of end-to-end IoT system design.
• Experience with cybersecurity best practices in IoT and cloud solutions.
