Full Stack Team Lead - Python, React.js, AWS - Tel Aviv, Israel - Full Time.

Our client is an AI-powered visual fleet management platform for commercial shipping companies. Using computer vision technology, our system connects onboard cameras to shore-based teams, enabling real-time visibility into vessel operations. The platform helps identify safety risks, improve operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making by combining video analytics, AI insights, and benchmarking tools across the fleet.

About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Engineering Team Lead to head the Shore team – the team building our core product: a real-time SaaS platform that gives shore-based teams full visibility into what’s happening at sea. This is one of the most impactful roles within the business, with direct influence on our product, our customers, and the future of the maritime industry.

As Engineering Team Lead, you'll work closely with Product, DevOps, QA, Data and AI teams to shape a product that’s deeply connected to users' daily operations. You’ll lead a growing team of strong engineers (Backend & Frontend, Israel and offshore), own both feature development and platform evolution, and help define the engineering culture.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years in software development, with at least 2 years as a team lead (both managerial and hands-on).
• Come from a background in Backend Development and worked your way into a Team Lead position.
• Strong experience with both Python and React (Rust is a major plus).
• Deep understanding of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to work with offshore developers and refactor legacy codebases.
• High-energy, excellent communicator, fluent in English, team-first mindset.
• BSc in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
