Research Leader

We're hiring: Lead Researcher in Social Research (Maternity Leave Replacement)

aChord Center – Social Psychology for Social Change is looking for a Social Research Lead (Maternity Leave Replacement) to join our team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead applied, data-based research projects that support social organizations, philanthropic foundations, and educational initiatives aiming to improve intergroup relations in Israel.

The position includes designing and executing quantitative and experimental studies, conducting literature reviews, developing conceptual models, analyzing data, and presenting findings to internal teams and external partners. It involves close collaboration with aChord’s Education Department and other organizational stakeholders.

🔍 Key requirements:

PhD in Social Psychology or a closely related field in the social sciences

Experience leading quantitative research (e.g., surveys, experiments)

Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS and/or R)

Experience in applied research – an advantage

Familiarity with formal or informal education systems – an advantage

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew

📌 Position details:

Location: Shfayim (hybrid model)

Part-time: 50% (with the possibility of expansion)

Start date: July 2025 (maternity leave coverage)
