System Engineer – Defense Hi-Tech Company | Rehovot

A leading defense hi-tech company located in Rehovot is seeking a System Engineer to join our team!

Job Description:

• System engineering for the development of electro-optical systems – Head-Up Displays (HUDs) for pilots.
• Working closely with R&D teams, business units, and international clients (including aircraft manufacturers and leading aerospace industries).
• Defining system requirements.
• Managing system requirements and documentation.
• Leading design reviews and development processes.
• Technical leadership of multidisciplinary development efforts (electronics, optics, mechanics, firmware/software), system integration, and testing – in collaboration with internal teams and external customers.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Electro-Optics / Aeronautics – mandatory
• (M.Sc. in Systems Engineering / Electro-Optics / Electrical Engineering / Physics – advantage)
• At least 4 years of experience in system engineering or development of complex multidisciplinary systems – mandatory
• Broad system-level understanding – mandatory
• Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams – mandatory
• Excellent command of English (spoken, written, and reading) – mandatory
• Experience in technical leadership and engineering processes in a matrix environment – advantage
• Experience in electro-optical system development – advantage
• Familiarity with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS) – advantage
• Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python – advantage
• Willingness to travel abroad (up to 5%-10% of the time)
