Detection Engineer

A well-funded cyber startup is looking for a hands-on Detection Engineer

• Develop and optimize detection rules and signatures (across SIEM/EDR/XDR platforms)
• Analyze complex security incidents and investigate attacker behaviors
• Continuously improve detection coverage, reduce false positives, and enhance response capabilities
• Collaborate with threat intelligence, IR, red team and R&D teams
• Stay up to date with attacker TTPs and apply that knowledge to real-world detections

• Proven experience in threat detection engineering or blue team roles
• Hands-on with tools like SIEM, EDR, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Strong understanding of attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK, LOLBins, etc.)
• Ability to analyze and reverse engineer attacker behavior based on telemetry
• Curious mindset and passion for hunting and defending at scale
